Vernà is made from Vernaccia Nera grapes, a native variety from the high hills of the Macerata area. After a long fermentation in bottle, it becomes this intensely ruby-red sparkling wine with purplish highlights. It offers floral aromas of rose and violet, fruity notes of blackcurrant and blueberry, and spicy hints of black pepper. The bubbles are fine, with a soft and persistent red mousse. On the palate, it is sweet but never cloying, with good persistence and an irresistible charm. Perfect with dry or rustic pastries, or simply on its own for a joyful toast.
